59 Year-old Illinois Woman Receives Three Years in Jail for $7,200 Medicaid Fraud Scheme

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – A Rockford woman pleads guilty to felony fraud after Illinois State Police say she was being paid by Medicaid for services she wasn’t actually providing.

59-year-old Lucinda Germann was arrested after an investigation revealed she was submitting time sheets claiming she provided services to someone who was in prison during the same time.

Germann was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to one count of vendor fraud and she has to pay back the full amount she stole, totaling over $7,200.
