Cashless tolling: State lawmakers want to cancel Conduent contract

At least two state lawmakers are fed up with the private company that handles New York’s cashless tolling system.

Assemblyman Tom Abinanti and Sen. David Carlucci want to cancel the Thruway Authority’s 3-year, $72 million contract with Conduent after a tumultuous year marred by unfair billing, costly penalties and lack of transparency.
