Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas will need to repay nearly three quarters of a million dollars wrongly billed to Medicare for unallowable dental services, the Office of the Inspector General states in an audit report for the facility. Due to a lack of written policies and procedures codifying the billing process, Parkland racked up at least $743,582 worth of improper outpatient dental work between 2010 and 2011.
