Feds accuse Matteson youth counseling center of multi-million dollar Medicaid fraud scheme

he husband and wife co-owners of a Matteson-based youth counseling center are accused of using an inflated billing scheme to defraud Medicaid out of millions of dollars, a lawsuit filed by the U.S. attorney in Chicago and the state alleges.

Intervening in a civil suit filed by a former employee of the center, the U.S. and state said the overbilling by Laynie Foundation also enriched its owners, Summer Matheson and Terrence Ewing.
