Six Leon County case managemers are facing charges of Medicaid fraud after an investigation by Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office.
The six were arrested in connection with more than $170,000 in Medicaid fraud. All of those arrested worked for the Tallahassee office of DS Connections, a targeted case management company based in Winter Park, according to a press release from Bondi’s office.
Investigators found the case managers did not meet the criteria for providing case management services and committed other misdeeds. The group allegedly caused false claims to be submitted to Florida Medicaid by improperly billing for mileage and billing for services for people who never needed services, Bondi’s office said.
