ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla — More than 7,000 patients have trusted their health to Medi MD, but the owners of the clinics in St. Johns County are facing page after page of serious accusations.Action News was there in October, when the state’s Medicaid Fraud Unit seized thousands of documents and computer files, and the reasons why have just been made public with the release of two 20-plus page search warrants and affidavits.
Owner and St. Johns County Commissioner Bill says he is the person who filed a motion in court to unseal those documents last week.”I didn’t know what we were doing wrong or what we were accused of doing wrong, and I was blind-sighted. It’s like being told to stay in business, but not being told what do to correct whatever is wrong and that drives a businessman crazy.”
