TALLAHASSEE — A controversial measure that removes dental care from the required list of benefits Medicaid HMOs must offer patients beginning 2019 and requires the state to enter a five- year, non-renewable contract with a separate vendor will be heard by a House health care panel on Wednesday.HB 819 is one of five bills the House Health Innovation Subcommittee is slated to hear Wednesday, two days after the Senate Health Policy Committee passed a similar bill and just one day after former presidential hopeful Rick Perry met with Gov. Rick Scott to discuss dental health.
