We knew there were serious problems with Texas Health and Human Services Commission handling of billions of dollars in contracts for health care and social services, but new audits show this mess of a system is even worse than we thought.
It seems most everything that could go wrong in awarding taxpayer dollars to private companies for critical services for the state’s most vulnerable citizens has gone wrong. And has been going wrong for many years.
