Indiana dentist facing forgery and Medicaid fraud charges

A former Seymour dentist faces felony charges related to an investigation into the false billing of the state’s Medicaid program for dental treatments he allegedly did not perform on patients, a Marion County official reports.

Dr. James Judd, 69, has been charged with 11 counts of forgery, a Class C felony; Medicaid fraud, a Class D felony; and theft, a Class D felony, according to a news release from Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry.

An arrest warrant was served Aug. 19. Judd’s initial hearing was Aug. 22, and his bond was set at $9,995, which he posted that day.
