Since November, the chief executive of Austin tech company 21CT has repeatedly said she first met Jack Stick in 2011, when she and the former state official began brokering a multimillion-dollar, no-bid deal that is now the subject of a criminal investigation.
But Irene Williams and Stick met well before that, in 2007, the American-Statesman has learned. Williams met Stick during a business meeting between 21CT and AutoGov Inc., Stick’s former employer and a company that was doing business with Texas.
