A medical biller in the Detroit area was sentenced June 30 to 50 months in prison for her role in a $7.3 million healthcare fraud scheme, according to the Department of Justice.

In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Judge Sean F. Cox of the Eastern District of Michigan ordered 56-year-old Dawn Bentley and her co-defendants to pay $3.25 million in restitution.
