Mary Jell went to Mexico for low-cost dental work. She came home with new implants and a $10,000 abscess in her credit account.
The 89-year-old Peoria woman said after she left Cordova Dental Care in Los Algodones, the office began billing her Discover Card about $3,000 a week without her knowledge.
Jell said she agreed to pay $1,800 for the procedure and only found out about the additional charges when Discover notified her the card had exceeded its $12,000 maximum limit.
