Patient alleges dentist negligently installed implants

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston dentist, alleging her implants were installed negligently and caused complications.

Susana Herrera filed a complaint Sept. 9 in Harris County District Court against Dr. Raoul Hanna and Hanna Dental Implant Center LLP, alleging negligence and liability.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11. 2017, Herrera underwent an implant all-on-4 dentures at Hanna Dental Implant Center performed by Hanna. Herrera says she began to have issues speaking on Sept. 20, 2017, and noticed that her upper lip was flattening.

The suit alleges the plaintiff had to have the implants removed and new implants placed in because Hanna had done the initial implant installation improperly. The plaintiff says this led to added medical expenses

Herrera seeks damages, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. She is represented by attorney Denise R. Atkinson-Brown of The Law Offices of Denise Atkinson-Brown PLLC in Houston

  • I can also attest to the above statements regarding Dr. Hanna Dental Group in Houston. I have been dealing with them on the implants they placed for over 8 months and they still cannot get the temporaries correct (I am on my 5th set of temporaries). Once they got my payment (no insurance) they have been cold, sterile, not accommodating in the least and their lab is incompetent.
I am tired, disgusted. There is so much more to my story but will suffice to say – even other patients sitting in the waiting room are having issues. They are not the reputable facility that is portrayed.
