LITTLE ROCK, Ark. —
A doctor from Northwest Arkansas has been charged with two counts of felony Medicaid fraud. A release from Attorney General Tim Griffin says Dr. Brian Hyatt made fraudulent Medicaid claims of more than $300,000.
“Prosecution of Medicaid fraud in Arkansas is the responsibility of my office,” Griffin said. “And I take that responsibility seriously.”
Hyatt was suspended from participating in the state Medicaid program in March and arrested in October. He was released after paying a $15,000 bond.
If found guilty, he could face up to 30 years in prison.
