TDMR Joins Inspector General Initiative to Fight Fraud, Waste and Abuse

For the last several years, TDMR has provided contact information on its website for reporting Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse to both state and federal healthcare authorities.

From the links provided on practically every page of our website, anyone could go to the Texas Inspector General website or the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General website to report anything suspicious to these authorities.

TDMR has been promoting Inspector General Stuart Bowen’s Inspector General Initiative and was recently accepted as a member of that initiative.  We suggest that Medicaid providers also join and subscribe to fighting Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse.

  • It seems to be an open window for more trouble to providers.

The current legislation about fraud is not structure and want people to report by suspicious ???

Whom has been in practice for long enough should know what is like to deal with backstabber personnel and patients . More teeth for the trouble makers. I can not picture provider brown nose attitude after colleges competition.
On the other hand provider might think there are going to be seen as the good guys by having the integrity initiative certification. I have not seen any one reporting themselves.

    • IG Bowen has shown great skill and resolve in reforming and upgrading the organization of OIG. Providers are better off. It is a much better scene than when under Wilson and Stick.

      • There is not better off than providers right of practice earned with our dental licenses.

That is why any reform should be about.one whole legislation protecting dentist rights of practice.

Contracts are negotiations and our dental licenses are not to be negotiated.

This initiative is all on favor of third parties to go over the right of practice.and encourages third parties including , corporates ,MCOs ,and office personnel to boss dentist providers and take control over the practices.

  • Asking for more trouble to providers??

More teeth for backstabbers office personnel and trouble maker patients.

Providers getting into other providers practices as competitors. I have not seen any one reporting themselves.

The providers right of practice is not to be report.

Does it seems like been a member make you a good guy??

  • What is Better off in this mess? . I really do not know what better off means when the HHS and the MCO are after providers right of practice. The only better off is to reform by regulating only on favor of provider right of practice because providers right of practice is not to be negotiated .Without providers these entities wont exist, that is why are trying to frame providers when taking away our providers right with persuading strategies that we can not survive when no signing contracts elaborated on these entities convenience.

It gives the impression this initiative is promoting practice personal to boss providers we have enough with the third parties giving that impression to office personnel in our practices.

The initiative is not mentioning any about reporting breach of contracts form MCO and HHD, persecution, defamation to providers, to report employees and how to protect providers right of practice already earn with our dental licenses.

That’s how a snow ball effect starts when going down the hill.

Why giving up our few providers right of practice still left in this mess and well earn with our dental licenses by being part of IG integrity initiative?

People used to call dentist smart are we still under that umbrella ???
