After pleading not guilty last year, Paxton embarked on an aggressive effort to have the charges dismissed, only to be denied by his trial judge and the appeals court.Paxton will have 30 days to decide whether to take his appeal to the next, and final, stop — the Court of Criminal Appeals, the state’s highest criminal court.
