Texas health commission falls behind on data project — again

AUSTIN — The Texas Health and Human Services Commission again has fallen behind on a major data project that now has cost taxpayers $12 million over the past decade even though officials have not yet even chosen a contractor.Two weeks after the scheduled date for announcing a tentative contract winner, a health commission spokeswoman said Monday she could not give an explanation for the lack of an announcement.
