Two plead guilty in $25M prescription drug kickback scheme

Two men admitted defrauding New Jersey state health benefits programs and other insurers out of $25 million by submitting fraudulent claims for medically unnecessary prescriptions.

Matthew Tedesco, 42, a pharmaceutical sales representative from Linwood, N.J., and Robert Bessey, 43, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty at. U.S. District Court in Camden to charges of conspiracy to commit health care fraud.
