On Thursday, June 23, the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission held its mandated public hearings on state agencies under review this legislative session.
Four hours of testimony
Over the 12 hours of testimony were given before the Commission on that date with four of those relating to the State Board of Dental Examiners. The staff of the Commission had already submitted a scathing review of the board and the public hearing is meant to allow public feedback on both the board and the staff report.
TDMR has not reviewed the testimony yet but wanted to make the video of the testimony relating to the board quickly and easily accessible to those who are interested. Because of the length of the hearing, the video is in two segments. The first one is three hours in length and the second, the last 43 minutes. The agenda of the meeting is below the video. The next public hearing on August 22 will be on the Board’s recommendations regarding the various agencies.
